TWC Update V
The knockout stage begins, and this means it’s time for another TWC Update. Many players started the journey with us and took part in our first seasonal tournament on TFC. Now it’s time to look for the best player throughout TFC who will go for the biggest prizes.
First of all, thanks for this incredible journey during the World Club. We’ve built this format in less than 4 weeks to give you, our community, the chance to experience the World Club in the best positive way and we have made lots of valuable experiences so far.
In general, we wanted to test how the community’s feedback will be on a tournament, including burning, tournament rounds that can be reached through qualifying and cheap items with utility. We can proudly say it was a huge success so far, so there is no question that in the near future, there will be more tournaments where users will be able to use those TWC items.
Imagine a Champions League tournament where you can boost the score of Sadio Mané by owning a rare shoe from Senegal. Simply priceless.
In web2, you can see that gaming assets are usually very cheap and this trend will also be seen in web3. It is not possible that all assets are expensive and at the same time, a mass product is built.
That’s why we thought about these items, they should be cheap and liquid, but at the same time, offer a lot of fun and utility. The jerseys will remain our “premium product,” and we will of course aim to make them as valuable and interesting as possible.
But in web3, you also need to be fast and react to new market situations and therefore we are happy to announce new special TWC bags to give every user the chance to compete for the biggest prizes.
TWC Bags
We will launch brand new Ultimate bags in different styles. One bag with only one item and another one with 12 items in it. And as a special surprise, we’ve added a low amount of rare and super rare items to the drop. As the tournament goes into the final stage, everyone should have the best items, right?
Part 1 of those bags will drop on 05.12.2022 at 20:00 and include the first four teams that have already qualified for the quarterfinals: Netherlands, France, Argentina, and England.
Part 2 will include the other four teams that will move forward to the quarterfinal and will be live on 07.12.2022 at 12:00.
Qualifiers
As the number of participants is final now, we will announce how many players will advance to the next round in each tournament.
Prize Pool
As previously announced, we will make slight changes according to the prize pool. The total prize pool will stay the same, of course, but some changes need to be made according to the number of qualifiers for the knockout stage.

Rookie Tournament

Pro Tournament
As you can see in the table for the qualifiers, only 10 users will participate in the grand final of the Pro Tournament. Therefore we decided to reward those users already after the second semifinal when it’s clear that they will move on to the final.
If the user makes it to the second semifinal, the user will get a guaranteed payout of $100. If the user moves on to the final, he has a guaranteed payout of $2.000. So in total, the winner of the Pro Tournament will win even more than $50.000 only with a slightly different payout structure.
Lineup Update
We’ve listened to the feedback of the community during the World Club and want to make a slight adjustment according to the lineup restrictions.
The Rookie and the Advanced Tournament will change from the beginning of the semifinal: Users will be able to line up 11-a-side teams for the last three rounds instead of 5-a-side lineups, as previously announced. This should make your decisions during the preparation of your lineup easier, as one bad player won’t immediately destroy the chances of qualifying for the next round.
In addition to that, we will closely monitor the score cap each round and make adjustments if necessary, as more and more low-scoring players are dropping out of the tournament and mostly high-scoring players can be picked.
TWC Entry Tickets
Beginning with the Round of 16, all TWC entry tickets for the quarterfinal and ongoing will be tradable. You can buy and sell those tickets straight on the TFC Marketplace.
Attention:
You can own more than one ticket but will only be able to enter each tournament once. Multiple tickets will not allow multiple entries.
Burning Qualifiers
As mentioned before, all TWC items will have utility in the future, not only those of teams that are still in the tournament. We will add challenges soon, where you will need to burn TWC items to enter special TWC-related contests.
